REVIEW & SWATCHES: Tanya Burr Nail Polish (Mini Marshmallows)

Tanya Burr, successful youtuber and blogger is someone that I consistently watch and was so excited about her nail polish and lip gloss range to release! At the moment, I have one of her nail polishes called 'Mini Marshmallows' which I purchased from Feel Unique, but I'm definitely looking to buy more!

Firstly, I like how the packaging is sophisticated but still cute with the heart design, however my lid came off of the actual nail polish brush holder. Although that might have been because mine wasn't glued on very well!

Affordable Cotton Bud Holder

Here is a quick post on my new addition to my dressing table, something SUPER affordable but cute, this Acrylic Cotton Bud Holder I purchased from Amazon.
I was bored of having my cotton buds in a standard cardboard pot so I searched online for a cheap but classy way to store them. The majority that were similar to my current one were way over-priced, so I went along to Amazon and found this one only priced at £3.66!
Since it is so cheap, of course it is made of standard plastic (nothing fancy like glass) but it does the job of storing them well!

REVIEW: Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lipsticks

If you love a good matte lip but find some formulas particularly drying, such as the MAC Retro Matte lipsticks, then you will LOVE these Bobbi Brown ones!
They give a great matte finish but glide on so creamy that they actually feel comfortable on your lips and don't leave you with any separated skin. As well as that, the pigmentation in one swipe is crazy, they are so opaque!
The lasting power of these lipsticks is also great- the bold colours especially leave a nice stain underneath so the colour wont be completely gone by the end of the day. Although, they are more prone to smudging compared to a MAC Retro Matte Lipstick as it dries down less, but I'd rather my lipstick feel comfortable than dry!

My Skincare Secrets

In the past I suffered from severe acne, mostly hereditary, and had to have it treated by medication since it would otherwise have been permanent! Nonetheless, I still have to maintain my skin to prevent it going crazy and to get rid of any previously made scars (which I've mostly done!).

MY TWO SECRETS:

1. Drinking the correct fluids
2. Having a good skincare routine

WATER

I know people tend to go on and on about how drinking water is so important, but they're telling the truth! HOWEVER I also know it can feel really tedious to force yourself to drink water non-stop during the day... So what I do is have a filled up bottle of water in my fridge at all times - that way, when I'm too lazy to pour myself a drink, I instantly go to drink my water.

Also, try to have only fresh or pure juices in your fridge as alternatives, instead of fizzy drinks!

How I Clean My Brushes & Sigma Glove Dupe

Cleaning your makeup brushes has to be one of the most important things you do, whether you're a makeup artist or someone who wears makeup daily! The amount of bacteria that clogs up in them and the application of your makeup all depends on how often you clean your brushes - I recommend once a week if you wear makeup everyday or at least once a fortnight.
I've trialled all sorts of techniques and I think I've found the cheapest and most effective way! My key tool is a Silicone Oven Glove I purchased from Amazon, an AMAZING dupe for the Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove which is over ten times the price.

Sultry Purple Look

Hey guys! This was the look I wore to a recent Benefit Recruitment day, decided to go all out to showcase my skills! ;) It features the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette and a classic winged liner, definitely an eye-catching look!

Classic Bronze Smokey Eye

These types of looks are the easiest to do because you can literally be as messy as you like and it'll still look good - make it seem grungy and effortless! But if you're worried about it looking like you've got a bruised eye, place some tape under your eye to get a crisp line.

To make things easier, I used the Urban Decay Naked Palette for most of the look since it has all the neutral/bronze tones that you'll need!

Pop of Colour and Summer Coat

I never normally go for these sort of makeup looks but whilst experimenting one day, this pop of purple bounced into my thoughts and the look turned out amazing!

The key item for this makeup look turned out to be my Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette, featuring the shades 'Vodoo' and 'Betrayal' under the lower lash line.
