Brow Wiz vs. Dipbrow Pomade

Anastasia Beverly Hills has become one of the best brands for brow products and I own two of their best sellers, the Brow Wiz and the Dipbrow Pomade. So today I'm going to put them to the test and show you the finished result of both!
BROW WIZ

I have the Brow Wiz in the shade 'Brunette', one that I'd say is best for people with medium to dark hair. However from the picture above, you can see that you can apply it with a light hand for a softer look, or apply more pressure to achieve more colour pay-off.

It is essentially a brow pencil that comes in a twist up tube with a super soft nib, so its quick to use if you need to fill in any sparse areas without the fuss of concealing your brows after. The thing I love about it most is the spoolie on the end, which is probably the best spoolie I've ever used. Its so thin that it actually blends the product you've applied on your skin, not just the brow hairs, making it look more seamless. No matter what brow product I use, I always use the Brow Wiz spoolie to blend it!

Before

After

*Blame the cut under my brow to my beautician...
At the moment, the tail of my brow is a lot thinner than I'd like it to be, so the Brow Wiz is amazing at allowing me to draw a line underneath instantly. I then fill in the majority of my brow tail and define the arch a bit, whilst doing light strokes upwards at the front of my brow.
If you do put a bit too much pressure in a certain area, brush the spoolie in the direction of the hair growth and over the product, so it blends into a faded colour!
DIPBROW POMADE

The Dipbrow Pomade is like a tinted brow cream, in a texture similar to a gel eyeliner. With this product, a little goes a long way! So I typically use any angled brush, dip my brush into the product a few times and then wipe off the excess into the lid. Like the Brow Wiz, you can alter the intensity of the product depending on how much pressure you apply.

The Dipbrow Pomade is great if you love to have defined eyebrows or you literally have no brow hairs, because with this you can draw on brow-like hairs with a really thin brush! My only negative is that it can be a bit more messy if you're unsteady with your brush, so I tend to use concealer to clean up my brows when I use this.

However it is waterproof! So if you don't want your brows to budge all day, then you'll love this!

Before

After

Similar to my other brow, I like to thicken up the tail so I take my Dipbrow Pomade and run the product in a line, underneath the middle of my brow to the end. I use the majority of the product defining my brow tail and arch, then any excess I simply brush in an upwards motion towards the front of my brow.

I particularly like to use this product when I have a bit more time on my hands or if I'm going out somewhere fab, because this does allow you to have gorgeous polished brows! If you're curious to see how you'd use this product to create brow-like hairs, I'd recommend the Pixiwoo YouTube tutorial.
