Classic Bronze Smokey Eye

These types of looks are the easiest to do because you can literally be as messy as you like and it'll still look good - make it seem grungy and effortless! But if you're worried about it looking like you've got a bruised eye, place some tape under your eye to get a crisp line.

To make things easier, I used the Urban Decay Naked Palette for most of the look since it has all the neutral/bronze tones that you'll need!

The palette has 10 shimmer shades and 2 matte shades, so to start off I applied 'Naked' in the upper crease and 'Buck' directly into the crease to create definition (3rd and 5th shade). From there I used my fingers to apply a mix of 'Sidecar' (4th) and 'Half Baked' (6th) onto the lid, and blended that into 'Buck' so it all transitioned together.

To create the illusion of bigger eyes, I used my pinky finger to apply 'Sin' (2nd) into the inner corner, which instantly opens them up!

To deepen up the eyes I used a MAC 217 brush to softly apply 'Smokeout' (from the UD Vice 2 Palette, see previous post for pictures) into the outer V of the eye - this is where the tape under the eye would defo help!! Slowly build up the colour by adding bit by bit, this will create the smokey blend to the look. For the lower lash line, apply a mixture of 'Half baked' and 'Buck' with a pencil brush.

Since the colours in the palette are slightly cool tone, I added a touch of MAC's Brown Script eyeshadow above the crease and under the lower lashes, to add some warmth.

The shade is far darker in person, annoyingly the flash washes out the colour, but the warmth from the red tone brown makes the eyes look a lot more smoked and prominent - definitely have this eyeshadow for smokey looks!

I added some of the Maybelline Liner Express pencil in Black into my waterline but as you can see, it wasn't that fab, so opt for another such as the L'Oreal Colour Riche Le Smokey pencil.

For added drama, go for some liner on the upper lash line and falsies!!
xoxo
